Over 30 years of Care for Patients in our Community
The Facial Pain Center was formed in 1987 in order to evaluate, diagnose and treat people with pain and dysfunction of the Temporomandibular Joints (TMJs) and other facial pain. At that time, the treatment of facial pain disorders was in its infancy and our practice helped fill a need in our community. Our focus of working collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists and psychologists helped integrate the treatment of facial pain disorders with the broader medical community.
The Facial Pain Center also recognized a need over 15 years ago in the dental sleep medicine area. The group began collaborating with Physicians diagnosing Obstructive Sleep Apnea to treat those patients that can benefit from dental sleep appliances. In the years since, our doctors have treated thousands of patients with these devices to ultimately improve their health and overall quality of life.
The Facial Pain Center’s initial practice location was in Edina, followed quickly by our Burnsville location opening in 1998. In 2004, we expanded geographically to both Roseville and Lake Elmo in order to conveniently serve our patients.
